The National Agency for Performing Arts (NAPA) has officially launched its programme for the 2025/26 season, highlighting the work of Malta’s three national performing arts companies — KorMalta, Teatru Malta and ŻfinMalta.
Minister for Culture, the Arts and Local Government Owen Bonnici said, “Founded in 2023, NAPA is Malta’s central institution for the development and promotion of the performing arts. The agency manages and supports the three national companies, ensuring that each maintains its artistic identity, while encouraging innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration.”
NAPA Chief Executive Dominic Galea explained that the new season reflects “the synergy, vision and talent of our artistic community,” adding that the agency is committed to opening its doors to the public and strengthening artistic collaboration.
The upcoming season will feature “programmes of music, theatre and contemporary dance with 25 performances in Malta and across Europe.” Teatru Malta will also mark its 10th anniversary with national and international events, including a showcase of three productions from European countries. For the first time, all three companies will include full-time professional artists.
On Saturday, 27 September 2025, NAPA will host a public programme at its premises in Raħal Ġdid, offering free interactive workshops, live performances, and meetings with artists. More details are available at napa.mt.
