The Gozo Food Festival will return to Xewkija Square on Friday 10 and Saturday 11 July 2026, bringing together food, entertainment and culture from 6pm onwards.
More than 100 different food choices will be available, including traditional Maltese and Gozitan cuisine alongside international specialities from countries around the world. Wines, beers and other artisanal drinks will also form part of the festival’s culinary offering.
Gozo Minister Clint Camilleri said the festival has become one of the events that “add flavour to the Gozitan summer”, explaining that this year’s edition will combine gastronomy with entertainment, culture and innovative experiences.
The programme will include live music by local artists, a dedicated children’s area and a large screen showing the 2026 World Cup semi-finals live.
An immersive cultural show will also be held near the church to commemorate the 475th anniversary of the 1551 Siege and Invasion of Gozo, combining history with modern technology for a visual experience.
Malta Public Transport will operate a regular service between Mġarr and Xewkija during both evenings.
