The Ministry for Gozo and Planning announced the successful staging of Joy to the World – Flimkien għal Milied Ferrieħi in Nadur, forming part of this year’s Milied f’Għawdex programme. Minister for Gozo and Planning Clint Camilleri visited the festive activities, which attracted numerous families and children to the village.

Minister Camilleri said the Ministry is committed to ensuring that Gozo remains fully adorned for Christmas so that “the experience for all those who visit us becomes one of the best.” He highlighted attractions in Nadur, including festive decorations, a small chapel hosting a traditional nativity exhibition, and Santa’s House. He added that in Għajnsielem, “we lit the Christmas tree which is made of hundreds of bottles,” noting that the opening of the annual live nativity, Bethlehem f’Għajnsielem, will follow in the coming days.
In Nadur’s Triq Diċembru 13, the Christmas Parade featured dancing, singing, festive characters and the presence of Santa and Mrs Claus. A grand finale and show took place in the main square, accompanied by choirs, band music, dancing, games, and Christmas food and drink. Visitors could also tour a newly built chapel displaying a traditional nativity scene. Meanwhile, Għajnsielem lit its 60-foot Christmas tree constructed from 4,500 glass bottles.
Minister Camilleri concluded that the Ministry remains committed to supporting such events, which not only attract visitors to Gozo but also provide enjoyment for families and residents.
