A new MaltaToday survey published on 16 November 2025 shows the Labour Party holding a narrow lead of three points over the Nationalist Party, with the newspaper reporting that Labour “gets no budget bounce.” According to the survey, PL stands at 48.7%, while PN registers 46.1%, maintaining the same levels seen in October.

MaltaToday notes that the results are based on a survey of 799 respondents, with a projected turnout of 81%. The report states that “12% of PL voters intent on not voting” compared to 5% of PN voters, highlighting turnout uncertainty.

The newspaper also reports significant regional variation. It states that the PN “leads in four of six regions,” the Northern Region, the Northern Harbour the Western Region and Gozo, while Labour maintains an advantage in the Southern Region and Soithern Harbour. Age breakdowns show Labour leading among those aged 36 to 50, whereas the PN performs strongly among voters over 65.

A gender gap was also identified. As MaltaToday writes, “PL leads by a substantial 13-point margin among men,” while PN holds an eight-point lead among women.
