The Faculty of Theology is currently running a new admissions campaign before the 15 September deadline. Dean Rev. Prof. Stefan Attard invites prospective students to explore the diverse range of programmes available now. In a wide-ranging interview, the Dean highlighted the Faculty’s flexible approach to learning, the diversity of its courses, and its commitment to making theological education accessible to people from all walks of life.

Rev. Prof. Attard explained that the Faculty offers both full-time daytime and part-time evening programmes, allowing students to balance their studies with work and family commitments.

During the interview, the Dean said, “Theology is interested not solely in God but also in the human person,” explaining that this is reflected in the Faculty’s diverse academic offering. Students can combine theology with subjects such as history, languages, philosophy, mathematics and disability studies, while postgraduate programmes include Environmental Ethics, Business Ethics, Spirituality, Spiritual Companionship, and Youth Ministry.

Rev. Prof. Attard also noted that the majority of students are lay people, many of whom are employed or raising families, rather than preparing for the priesthood. He described the Faculty as having a close-knit and welcoming environment where students are known personally by lecturers and staff.
