PN Leader Alex Borg has announced a proposal aimed at reducing electricity bills for Maltese and Gozitan households. Speaking in Bormla, Party Leader Alex Borg said, “I would like to announce that we have found a method by which a Nationalist Government will reduce electricity bills by an average of 30% for our families.”

This proposal is being presented as a key commitment to the public. Borg described it as “the promise that the Nationalist Party is making to the Maltese and Gozitan people.” He explained that the measure is intended to benefit a wide range of individuals, including families, young people, and the elderly, while aiming to leave more money in people’s pockets.

Importantly, Borg clarified that this reduction would not come at the expense of existing support measures. He stated that it would be implemented while “subsidies will not stop,” indicating that current assistance schemes would remain in place.
