Naxxar is set to celebrate its annual Inħobbu in-Naxxar awards ceremony on 15 November at 9:30 a.m. at the historic Palazzo Parisio. The event, founded by Clifford Galea, honours individuals whose dedication and service have left a lasting impact on Naxxar’s cultural, social, and everyday life.

Among this year’s honourees are Godwin Gauci, sacristan of the Collegiate Church of Marija Bambina, Naxxar; Alexander Agius “Tassotti”, Naxxar Lions Kit Manager of the Under-21s who has assisted in over 100 matches; and Malcolm Pirotta, a passionate Naxxar enthusiast who promotes the town’s beauty and community spirit. Former Naxxar Mayor Dr Anne Marie Muscat Fenech Adami and Adrian Ciappara, active within Naxxar Lions FC, are also being recognised for their long-standing contributions.

A special distinction will be presented to Paul Gatt, Secretary and Executive of the Naxxar Local Council and President of the Association of Secretaries of all Local Councils in Malta — an honour “for those who work for Naxxar, even if they are not from Naxxar.”
The award itself will consist of a print of an original painting by Gozitan artist Marvic Muscat, created exclusively for the event, and an exclusive pendant featuring the Naxxar bell tower, presented in collaboration with MVintage.
