The Immakulata Kunċizzjoni Musical Society of Ħamrun is currently in Italy, where it “opened the Christmas festivities in Carpineto Romano.” The band also “accompanied the Immaculate Conception procession in the same village,” contributing to one of the most significant annual events in this historic hilltop town. Carpineto Romano, known for its deep Marian devotion, narrow medieval streets, and long-standing religious celebrations, provided a fitting setting for the Maltese band’s participation.
Today, the band “began the second part of its tour,” as members prepare for the General Audience with Pope Leo XIV in the Eternal City of the Vatican. This marks an important milestone for the Ħamrun band club, which has consistently represented its community abroad while showcasing Maltese musical tradition.
Rooted in one of Malta’s most culturally active localities, the Immakulata Kunċizzjoni Band Club of Ħamrun forms a central part of the town’s identity. Closely linked to the parish dedicated to the Immaculate Conception, the society is respected for its dedication to musical training, community engagement, and participation in Malta’s major feast celebrations. Its tour in Italy continues this long legacy of artistic and devotional commitment.
