The sixth edition of Betlehem f’Santa Venera has been announced by the Ministry for European Funds and the Implementation of the Electoral Programme together with the Parliamentary Secretariat for Local Government and the Santa Venera Local Council. The Christmas activity, held in aid of the Malta Community Chest Fund, “ta’ kull sena tattira eluf ta’ viżitaturi” to the heart of Santa Venera.

For the second consecutive year, the public will be able to visit not only the picturesque Romeo Romano gardens but also part of the garden of Casa Leoni, the historic 18th-century palace which today houses the Ministry for European Funds. This year’s edition will feature a new format, including a live nativity, traditional rural life scenes, food and drink stalls, an artisan market, children’s areas and live animals creating an immersive Christmas village.
Minister Stefan Zrinzo Azzopardi said the initiative shows how the historic gardens are being enjoyed by hundreds of people while supporting the Malta Community Chest Fund. Parliamentary Secretary Alison Zerafa Civelli noted that Betlehem f’Santa Venera is “waħda fost 56 attività” organised by local councils across Malta and Gozo this Christmas.
The event will be held over three days: 19 December from 6pm onwards, 20 December from 3pm onwards, and 21 December from 11am onwards.
