Naxxar celebrated the third edition of the Inħobbu n-Naxxar awards this morning at Palazzo Parisio, honouring residents and contributors whose work has left a lasting impact on the community. The event, founded by Clifford Galea, continued its tradition of recognising dedication and service. Galea highlighted the mission behind the initiative, stating: “Let us continue spreading love towards the town where we were born.”

This year’s honourees included Adrian Ciappara, Godwin Gauci, Malcolm Pirotta, Paul Gatt, and Dr Anne Marie Muscat Fenech Adami. Their recognition reflected years of voluntary work, civic involvement, and efforts to promote Naxxar’s cultural and social identity. Acknowledgement was also given to Alexander Agius, known as “Tassotti”, who could not receive the award in-person due to a commitment related to the Under-21 team.

A special distinction was once again presented to Paul Gatt, Secretary and Executive of the Naxxar Local Council and President of the Association of Secretaries of all Local Councils in Malta. As in previous editions, recipients received a print of an original painting created exclusively for the event by Gozitan artist Marvic Muscat, together with an exclusive MVintage pendant depicting the Naxxar bell tower.
