A high-level cultural meeting was held at the Teatru Manoel between the Minister for Culture, Local Government and Lands Owen Bonnici and the Minister for Culture and Tourism of Kosovo Saranda Bogujevci, as Malta continues to strengthen international cultural relations. The meeting, coordinated by the Culture Directorate, focused on enhancing collaboration in the arts and cultural heritage sectors.

During the discussion, both ministers explored ways to deepen cooperation between Malta and Kosovo through cultural initiatives. Minister Bonnici said he was pleased to meet his counterpart, noting that they discussed “ways to strengthen the relationship between the two countries through culture,” underlining the role of shared artistic projects in building connections.

The visit forms part of an ongoing cultural exchange, with a delegation from Kosovo currently in Malta. Among those present were Culture Directorate Director, Alex Farrugia and Assistant Director, Ambassador Clifford Galea and Deputy Ambassador of Kosovo Rudina Bukoshi, alongside other officials. Commenting on the meeting, Galea said that “these visits are an important bridge between countries, strengthening cultural dialogue and cooperation.”
