Prime Minister Robert Abela announced that he will be attending an emergency summit in Brussels this Thursday together with the other European leaders, against the backdrop of ongoing global uncertainty.
In a short statement, the Prime Minister said: “On Thursday, together with the other European leaders, I have been called for an emergency summit in Brussels.” The meeting is expected to focus on international developments currently creating instability and concern across various regions.
Dr Abela also outlined Malta’s position ahead of the upcoming discussions, stressing that the country will continue to act responsibly on the international stage. He stated that, “In the face of this global uncertainty, Malta will continue to take decisions in favour of international stability and in the best interest of the entire Maltese and Gozitan people.”
