The Nationalist Party raised €153,616 during a fundraising marathon, marking the eve of PN leader Alex Borg’s 31st birthday.
The party thanked those who contributed, while also wishing Borg a happy birthday ahead of Friday’s celebration.
During an interview earlier in the day, Borg described the fundraising event as crucial, saying the funds would allow the party to invest further in delivering its political message “in a stronger and more effective way”.
Borg said further renewal and restructuring remained necessary, particularly within the media sector. He also referred to the PN’s extensive portfolio of assets across Malta and Gozo, stressing the importance of making better use of party clubs to generate additional income.
The marathon also included an appeal to General Council members to confirm Borg as party leader during the remaining voting sessions.
