The Labour Party has officially published its electoral manifesto for the upcoming election during the opening of its General Conference in Ta’ Qali. Titled “You Malta. Your Dream. Our Project”, the digital manifesto is divided into 24 chapters, each outlining specific proposals aimed at improving the quality of life of Maltese and Gozitan citizens by 25%.
The manifesto is being described as the first in Malta’s political history to link its measures directly with a wellbeing index. According to the document, improvements are being targeted in areas including the environment, healthcare, work-life balance, and access to housing.
In his introductory message, Prime Minister and Labour Leader Robert Abela said the manifesto builds on what he described as the Labour Government’s greatest achievements in recent years — stability and certainty.
Abela also stated that the Labour Party remains “the only force in our country with new and concrete ideas” designed to make life easier and better for families, while insisting the party has the competence and credibility to deliver on its promises.
