Opposition and Partit Nazzjonalista Leader Alex Borg addressed a press conference outside the PN Headquarters on Monday to mark his first 100 days in office, describing this period as “not the culmination” of his leadership but “only the beginning.”
“Today marks my first 100 days as Leader of the Partit Nazzjonalista,” Borg said, adding that “our journey has only just begun.” He stated that the party is undergoing change and “is gaining strength,” with continued work planned to prepare it to “deliver the change our country truly deserves.”

During the press conference, Borg recalled that the PN had fulfilled a key pledge from his leadership campaign by submitting its audited financial statements for the years 2021–2024 to the Electoral Commission. He said the report confirms that the party holds “more assets than debts,” while work continues on a financial plan to reduce liabilities further. Borg also noted that income from club properties will increase without selling them.
Borg listed other commitments met during his first 100 days, including the appointment of a strengthened leadership team, reinforcement of the electoral office, the creation of a dedicated Gozo Policy Team led by Karl Buttigieg, the continuation of the NISMA’ initiative, and the launch of the TAMA crowdfunding campaign.
He also announced that a National Convention will be held in February to gather ideas and shape the party’s vision for government.
