Fgura Local Councillor Mark Lombardo has criticised the placement of a temporary no-parking (tow-zone) notice on the monument of Nazzareno Farrugia, a former Superior of the Society of Christian Doctrine (M.U.S.E.U.M.), describing the act as disrespectful.

Sharing a photo of the monument, located near Fgura Parish Church, Lombardo expressed his disappointment after the official notice was attached directly to the monument’s pedestal.
Commenting on the incident, Lombardo wrote:“This is not acceptable – notices should not be attached to monuments. It is a sign of disrespect.”
The image shared by Lombardo shows the no-parking notice covering part of the monument’s inscription.
