The Ministry for Gozo and Planning has officially inaugurated a regeneration project at the Tal-Ħali playing field, also known as tar-Ramla, in Nadur. The visit was led by Minister Clint Camilleri alongside Nadur Mayor Edward Said, marking the completion of works aimed at enhancing recreational facilities for the community.

During the inauguration, Minister Camilleri highlighted the importance of the investment, stating that “this investment… continues to strengthen the quality of life in Gozitan communities, while providing safe and modern spaces where children can play and develop.” He added that such initiatives reflect an ongoing commitment towards improved and sustainable infrastructure for families.
The playing field, originally opened in 2000, has undergone various upgrades over the years. Through newly secured funds, the Local Council replaced the multiplay structure with one of the largest on the island, designed to accommodate children of different age groups. A new, safer cushioned rubber base was also installed, enhancing both safety and aesthetics.
Mayor Edward Said emphasised that the council prioritises high-quality recreational spaces, noting efforts to secure funding for the project. The initiative was financed through Local Council investment, co-financing from the Parliamentary Secretariat for Local Government, and funds from the Planning Authority’s Development Planning Fund.
