The Partit Laburista has officially launched its 2026 Congress under the theme “MALTA AQWA”, setting out a week of discussions, meetings, and activities focused on the party’s future direction.
The Congress will take place between 12 and 17 April, culminating in a closing speech by Prime Minister and Labour Party Leader Robert Abela. The event was announced by Deputy Leader Alex Agius Saliba and Party President Alex Sciberras.
Proceedings will begin in Gozo before continuing at the MFCC, bringing together party members, stakeholders, and representatives from different sectors. The programme includes open sessions, a dedicated discussion in Gozo, meetings with social partners, and workshops involving civil society, with participation from the party’s various branches.
The week-long event will conclude on Friday with an address by Prime Minister Robert Abela, marking the final highlight of the Congress. The initiative reflects the party’s continued engagement with communities and organisations across the country.
