A Nationalist Government would act as “a strong shoulder for families,” offering peace of mind for the future, Opposition Leader Alex Borg stated during an interview in Żurrieq.
Speaking with NET News Head of News Robert Cremona, Borg explained that the Partit Nazzjonalista aims to support families and young couples who are currently struggling to plan ahead. He highlighted proposals such as the “Child Trust Fund,” describing them as “strong measures” intended to provide financial stability and long-term security.
Borg also criticised Finance Minister Clyde Caruana, accusing him of placing obstacles on the catering industry. He argued that the government is portraying it as “something impossible” to reduce VAT from 18% to 7%, a measure proposed by the PN to ease pressure on establishments.
Borg said the PN is preparing to lead Malta forward with a commitment to “full transparency” for workers and families across Malta and Gozo.
