The Leader of the Nationalist Party, Alex Borg, visited Hilltop Gardens and Simblija Care Home, where he observed closely the work carried out in these elderly care residences. During the visit, he was given an overview of the services provided and listened to the daily experiences of the residents living in these homes.
Throughout the visit, Borg met with several elderly residents and engaged in discussions about their quality of life and the care they receive. He emphasised the importance of ensuring that older persons in Malta continue to benefit from high-quality services that respect their dignity and well-being.
Accompanied by Shadow Ministers Paula Mifsud Bonnici and Ian Vassallo Hagi, the PN Leader also highlighted the need to maintain strong standards in elderly care facilities. The visit served as an opportunity to better understand both the strengths and challenges faced within the sector.
Among those he met was Violet, the widow of Guido de Marco, who served as President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Deputy Leader of the Nationalist Party.
