Nationalist Party leader Alex Borg said Malta needs “the change our country needs” as he addressed a political activity in Rabat under the theme “Nifs Ġdid”, together with the party’s candidates for the seventh district.
Borg urged supporters to keep working “until the last moment, until the last day,” by going through the streets and convincing people to vote for all Nationalist Party candidates.
He said that, in the final days of the electoral campaign, the PN had led a positive campaign focused on people, including students, families, businesses and workers.
Borg said the party’s electoral programme aims to improve quality of life for Maltese and Gozitan citizens. He referred to proposals including lower taxes for workers, the removal of succession tax, new economic niches, a Mediterranean maritime fuel hub, four new hospitals, a 30% reduction in electricity bills from January, €60 million in solar panel investment, a population-level authority, and a Mass Rapid Transport System.
He also mentioned a proposal for cars driven up to 500 kilometres a year to pay no licence fee.
Borg concluded by calling on disillusioned Nationalists and “hurt Labourites” to join the PN’s campaign for change.
