Gentoo Media has officially inaugurated its new headquarters in Malta, marking a major vote of confidence in the country’s growing digital economy. The opening was attended by Minister for the Economy, Enterprise and Strategic Projects Silvio Schembri, who described the move as a “clear sign of confidence in our country and the opportunities it offers.”
The company, which specialises in digital affiliation and marketing strategies, employs 360 people worldwide across Serbia, Denmark, Spain, and the United Kingdom — with 70 now based in Malta, most of whom are Maltese. Minister Schembri stated, “Companies that bring innovation strengthen our digital economy and contribute to a nation that is growing sustainably, becoming stronger, more resilient, and more innovative.”
Gentoo Media’s CEO Jonas Warrer said the Malta base represents “a new chapter built on growth, trust, and long-term commitment.” He added that Malta shares the company’s “same mindset” for progress and innovation.
Gaming Malta CEO Ivan Filetti also highlighted that Gentoo’s new office at The Quad reflects “a statement of confidence in Malta” and showcases the collaboration and excellence driving the nation’s digital future.
