A special day unfolded in Loreto, where the delegation from Għajnsielem continued its visit under the EU CERV Town Twinning Programme (CERV-2024-CITIZENS-TT), titled “Bridging Divides: Religion, Youth, and Civic Engagement in a Changing Europe.”

The day began with a mass at the Sanctuary of Loreto, concelebrated by Archpriest Joseph Hili. Following the celebration, the Archbishop of Loreto officially welcomed the Maltese delegation, which included representatives from Għajnsielem’s local associations.

Later in the day, these same associations took part in a joint workshop with their counterparts from Loreto, held in the Hall of the Comune di Loreto. The session served as an opportunity for the two communities to strengthen collaboration and exchange ideas on civic and cultural engagement within the European framework.

The visit formed part of the ongoing partnership between the two towns, aimed at promoting dialogue, youth participation, and mutual understanding across European communities.
