Prime Minister and Labour Party leader Robert Abela said the Labour Party has the “competent team” needed to continue generating wealth and improving the lives of Maltese and Gozitan families.

Speaking during a political activity in Mosta, Abela said a Labour Government had created wealth which was then distributed among the people. He described this as the core belief of the Labour Party — “to create wealth so that many can benefit from it.”
The Prime Minister stressed the importance of a strong economy to provide opportunities for everyone, adding that education remains “the key to social mobility” and quality careers that attract investment to Malta.
Abela outlined several proposals for the coming five years, including Kickstart for youths, the Super Bonus, SMEBoost, My First Home, Our Next Home, support for families and pensioners, and measures aimed at women’s advancement. He said these proposals would “leave more money in your pockets” while helping families achieve their aspirations.
He also referred to the widening of IVF laws, while criticising those who voted against.
Abela concluded by insisting that Malta’s economy needs “credibility and competence” to continue moving forward, adding: “What we achieved, I can guarantee.”
