Dr Lydia Abela, together with her daughter Giorgia Mae, presented a €20,000 donation to Puttinu Cares during a meeting held at Palace of Girgenti. The funds were raised through the annual “Enchanted Easter” initiative as well as from the sale of “Giolli” figolli prepared by Giorgia Mae.

The “Enchanted Easter” event has become a yearly occasion bringing together families, children, and volunteers in a spirit of generosity. It continues to create an atmosphere of joy while raising funds for an organisation that supports many families facing difficult circumstances. The donation reflects the collective effort of those who participated and contributed to the initiative.

During the presentation, Dr Lydia Abela stated, “This donation is the result of the generosity of so many people who took part in this initiative and contributed so that together we can make a difference in the lives of families who need our support.” She added that the strong participation shows how solidarity remains a key value among the Maltese and Gozitan people. Representatives of Puttinu Cares, including Rennie and Angele, expressed their gratitude, noting that continued support allows the organisation to keep assisting patients and families during challenging times.
