A statement by the Ministry for Gozo and Planning has announced the completion of two more residential roads as part of an ongoing infrastructure programme in Gozo. The works on Triq il-Wied in Rabat and Triq l-Emigranti in Nadur bring the total to 12 roads completed out of the 100 promised over a three-year period.

Minister Clint Camilleri said, “We are delivering these roads as promised so that infrastructure in this island continues to be strengthened.” He added that the completion of these projects “continues to fulfil the Government’s pledge to strengthen infrastructure in Gozo, while improving the quality of life for residents,” noting that works are being carried out with “modern and sustainable infrastructure” as part of the wider commitment.

In Triq il-Wied, works included the installation of water mains, drainage repairs, and new service connections by the Water Services Corporation, followed by resurfacing. Additional upgrades included the replacement of a collapsed stormwater line and adjustments to road levels.

Meanwhile, in Triq l-Emigranti, extensive works included new sewer systems, a pumping station, and improved road structures, with asphalt laid across approximately 1,000 square metres.

The project forms part of a broader plan to upgrade residential roads across Gozo.
