A large and vibrant Bake Sale was organised this morning in Ħal Qormi by Mikiel and his friends, bringing together members of the local community. The young organisers were also honoured by a visit from His Excellency the Archbishop, who stopped to meet them and show his support for their charitable initiative.
The bake sale raised a total of €500, which were presented to the parish priest, Archpriest Canon Mario Mangion. These funds will be used to support families in need and vulnerable individuals within the Parish of St George Martyr in Ħal Qormi.

One of the organisers, Catherine Sciberras, expressed heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed, saying she was grateful to all “who helped, bought, donated or prayed it wouldn’t rain.” She explained that through this cake sale, “we are not only helping those in need in our town, but we also made new friends.” She added that this morning, Mikiel personally presented the €500 donation to Archpriest Mangion, closing her message with: “Next year, if God wills!”

The organisers also thanked The Old Bakery, Charles Bakery, Nectar, and Doughnut ta’ Ħal Qormi for their generous support.
