General Election Turnout Reaches 43.59% By 2pm

Malta’s Electoral Commission has reported that the approximate percentage of voters who had cast their vote by 2.00 p.m. in today’s General Election, Saturday, 30 May 2026, stood at 43.59% across all districts.

The turnout by district was as follows:

First District 47.30%,

Second District 43.39%,

Third District 42.39%,

Fourth District 44.41%,

Fifth District 43.22%,

Sixth District 42.70%,

Seventh District 42.64%,

Eighth District 46.46%,

Ninth District 46.02%,

Tenth District 42.58%,

Eleventh District 42.87%,

Twelfth District 39.76%, and

Thirteenth District 42.95%.

The top three districts by 2.00 p.m. were the First District with 47.30%, the Eighth District with 46.46%, and the Ninth District with 46.02%.

The lowest three districts were the Twelfth District with 39.76%, the Third District with 42.39%, and the Tenth District with 42.58%.

The Electoral Commission noted that the percentages “do not include the totals of votes cast during the first three days.”
