Ahead of Saturday’s general election, Prime Minister and Labour leader Robert Abela addressed supporters in Fgura, saying the Labour Party has a strong plan to continue shaping “the best Malta for our children.”
Abela referred to the proposals presented in recent weeks through the Int Malta manifesto, saying they are intended to make people’s lives “more beautiful, easier and better.”
He said the Labour movement can guarantee that it “was, still is, and will remain the most progressive force in the country.” Abela also said the past years had shown that difficult moments do not frighten the movement, adding that Labour delivers what it promises.
Among the measures he mentioned were the tax cut, the increase in Children’s Allowance to more than double what had been promised, and the completion of 75 green spaces. He also referred to Manoel Island, White Rocks, Fort Tigné, Fort Campbell and Fort San Salvatur.
Abela said Malta’s economic decisions must continue to be taken carefully, because “there is no room for mistakes in the economy.”
