The Partit Nazzjonalista said Prime Minister Robert Abela “came only to attack me and to defend foreigners,” instead of presenting a vision for a better Malta. PN Leader Alex Borg made the remarks after the Prime Minister’s address on the Budget in Parliament.
Borg said Abela’s speech was “full of inaccuracies” and focused on personal attacks rather than solutions to issues “the Maltese people have long been waiting for: traffic, overpopulation, and the rising cost of living.” He added that the Prime Minister “defended those who stole from the people and still expects to be applauded.”
“Instead of focusing on improving the lives of the Maltese and Gozitans, Robert Abela remains busy defending the foreigners who robbed us through the fraudulent hospitals deal,” Borg stated.
The PN noted that Abela “gave no solution” to recover money from the hospitals deal, “announced no consultation on the four-day week,” and “failed to explain how this so-called ‘best budget in history’ will improve people’s quality of life.”
Borg affirmed that the PN “will continue its work to ensure our families live happier, better quality, and truly modern lives” through real solutions addressing traffic, cost of living, and overpopulation.
