The Partit Nazzjonalista has called on Prime Minister Robert Abela to “show the receipts for the €900,000,000 paid to Steward and to publish the full arbitration decision” regarding the hospitals’ concession.
During a press conference outside St Luke’s Hospital, Shadow Ministers Adrian Delia and Stephen Spiteri accused the Government of continuing “to mislead and deprive the Maltese people of the truth” about the International Chamber of Commerce tribunal ruling.
“For these €900,000,000, the people are still left with St Luke’s Hospital turned into a pigeon’s nest, Karin Grech Hospital as it was in 2013, and the new Gozo Hospital still on paper,” the PN said.
The Opposition stated that “Robert Abela has won nothing, and the biggest loser remains the Maltese people,” insisting that despite the Government’s celebration, Malta “still has to pay almost €5 million more to those who defrauded us.”
The PN reiterated its call for transparency: “When will the Prime Minister publish the full decision of the international tribunal?” The party vowed to “continue to lead the fight to defend the truth and the interests of the Maltese people.”
