Nationalist Party Leader Alex Borg has spoken about what he described as growing public engagement and renewed confidence in the Nationalist Party following the recent general election.
Speaking during an interview with NET News Head of News Robert Cremona on NET FM, Borg said the party recognises the will of the people while also acknowledging the progress it has made and the new trust that is being built within the PN.
Borg revealed that during the first week after the election, more than 800 people offered their time to help the Nationalist Party. He also noted that over 1,000 suggestions were submitted on how the party could continue to strengthen itself and improve its work.
According to Borg, these figures are a clear indication that many Maltese and Gozitan citizens see renewed hope in the Nationalist Party and view it as a positive force for change. He said the response demonstrates growing interest from people who want to contribute to the party’s future direction.
The PN leader stressed that the positive campaign carried out during the election should continue beyond the electoral period. He said this approach must translate into greater contact with the public, more listening, stronger commitment and sustained energy throughout the legislature.
Borg concluded by stating that the Nationalist Party will continue to strengthen its structures, become more open to the public and work towards becoming the alternative government that Malta and Gozo need.
