The success story of Tastees Manufacturing Ltd highlights how a genuinely Maltese product can gain international recognition when it reaches markets beyond local shores. The company, led by the Calleja family, has expanded its operations and now exports its products to several countries, showcasing Malta’s potential in manufacturing and entrepreneurship.
During a visit to the Tastees factory, Alex Borg, Leader of the Partit Nazzjonalista, praised the company’s growth and achievements. He noted that this success demonstrates how Maltese entrepreneurs and workers remain “one of the greatest resources” the country possesses. Borg emphasised that such businesses play a key role in strengthening Malta’s economic presence abroad.
Also present for the visit were Alex Perici Calascione, Deputy Leader of the PN, along with Shadow Ministers Ryan Callus and Beppe Fenech Adami. Their attendance underlined the importance of supporting local industries that continue to grow and export successfully.
The visit served as a recognition of Maltese enterprise and its ability to compete internationally.
