The Armed Forces of Malta said that on Saturday afternoon, the Malta Rescue Coordination Centre received “a report from the Civil Protection Department that four persons were in difficulty on a kayak in the area of Saint Thomas Bay.” The incident triggered an immediate rescue response in the area as authorities moved to assist those involved.
According to the press release, “a rescue vessel was dispatched and successfully located the individuals in distress.” The operation ended with all four persons being safely recovered after they were found by the responding rescue team. Following the rescue, all persons were handed over to Mater Dei Hospital personnel for further treatment.
