As the 2026 Budget is set to be read in Parliament today, a protest under the banner “Ġustizzja għal Artna: Flimkien, Inwaqqfuhom!” will take place this evening in Valletta. The demonstration is scheduled for 5:30pm, starting from the Law Courts and proceeding towards Parliament.

According to the organisers, participants will march “to demand that the Government withdraw the destructive planning laws which would remove all planning and environmental protections, strip citizens of their rights, and provide a blanket amnesty for all sorts of illegalities.”

The protest comes on a day when public attention is largely focused on the national budget.
The event will include speeches outside Parliament, followed by performances from local bands.
