The Portuguese firm Clever Advertising has officially opened its new Malta office, marking what the Ministry for the Economy described as “a total investment of €7.5 million.” The company, which operates across five continents and has “fifteen years of experience in the digital marketing sector,” currently employs more than 350 people worldwide. Its Malta operation has already created 30 jobs, with plans to expand this number to 80.
The inauguration was attended by Minister Silvio Schembri, along with Gaming Malta CEO Ivan Filetti and Malta Gaming Authority CEO Charles Mizzi. Minister Schembri noted that the opening “further strengthens the ongoing confidence that international companies place in Malta,” referencing recent developments in the iGaming sector that include “around 1,300 new quality jobs” and significant investment flows. The company’s newly inaugurated Gżira office represents “a €6 million investment,” complemented by “a €1.5 million investment” in local video-game developer NARC.
Minister Schembri added that government will continue supporting innovation “backed by a more modern and digital infrastructure” while investing in education and training. During the event, Clever Advertising also launched a programme offering Maltese youths hands-on experience in the digital sector.
Managing Director Alberto Simoes stated that “Malta was a natural strategic choice,” citing talent, client proximity, and strong regulation.
