The Leader of the Nationalist Party, Alex Borg, stated that there is a clear political will and commitment to continue supporting workers through increased investment in their skills and development. He emphasised the importance of improving work-life balance while also boosting business productivity.
This message was delivered during the closing of a conference titled “The Value of Your Work”, organised by the Solidarjetà Ħaddiema Partit Nazzjonalista as part of the party’s activities for Workers’ Day 2026. The conference brought together representatives of workers, employers, and professionals, who discussed key themes including work-life balance and the growing role of artificial intelligence in the workplace.
During his address, Alex Borg highlighted the need to embrace change and not fear reforming existing systems, including through modern technology. He stressed the importance of equipping workers with the necessary skills required in today’s evolving labour market. He concluded by stating, “We believe in our workers and our businesses, and together we will ensure we make the next leap forward.”
